How will you move it Canberra?
We are calling all Canberrans to find ways to move more each day.
There’s no denying it, we like to move it here in Canberra.
Getting at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day is vital for the overall health and wellbeing of all Canberrans, so we challenge all of Canberra to move more! Whether you are trying something new, reigniting a passion for something you have done before or adding a little extra to your routine, we can all move more for our health.
In fact, *71.5% of ACT adults (15 years +) are active 3 or more times per week, and we beat out the rest of the country as the most active jurisdiction, with walking and cycling by far considered our most popular activities.
And while we are largely an active bunch, there are many Canberrans that are still not moving or not moving enough to meet the national guidelines.
Getting active and trying something new has never been easier at one of our leisure centres – Stromlo Leisure Centre, Gungahlin Leisure Centre, Lakeside Leisure Centre and Erindale Leisure Centre
Dive into the pool, join a group exercise class or hit a session in the gym – whether you are trying something new or adding a little extra to your routine now is a great time to get started.
