Mega Group Exercise Class

Move It Canberra Challenge

  • Move It Canberra Challenge event will be held on Saturday 23rd March 2024 at the below venues, between the listed hours only:
  • Free entry will be provided to those participating during the listed times above.
  • Free exercise sessions are suitable for those 16 years and older.
  • Gym access is permitted for 13 years and older. Those under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Access to the pool facilities is permitted for all ages, Keep Watch and Parental Supervision rules apply.
  • Free Move It Canberra Water Bottle and Gym Towel, only available to the first 100 registrations. If you do not attend the event you will forfeit your free items.
  • Belgravia Leisure may cap the venue capacity at any time during the event for the safety of members and guests.
  • For your active minutes to count towards the overall challenge goal (10,000 active minutes), all participants must log activities after a session or upon exiting the venue.
  • All active minutes counted towards the 10,000 goal must be completed at one of the venues listed above, in the allocated times.
  • Filming and photography will be taking place throughout the event across all three venues. By participating, you are agreeing to photography and videography consent to be used by Belgravia Leisure and associated brands.
  • Upon the community achieving the 10,000 active minutes goal on the given date, between the provided times, a donation of AUD$10,000 will be donated to the Belgravia Foundation to a local community initiative via the Belgravia Foundation supporting the underrepresented communities of ACT with free swimming and water safety lessons.

As with any physical activity, it is important that before beginning any fitness activity you know your limits and only participate in activities that are appropriate for you. Consult with your healthcare professional if you are unsure, or ask a gym instructor for advice on sessions, programs or activities that will suit your fitness level or medical condition. You should immediately seek medical attention if there are any unanticipated changes to your physical condition at any time. You must consult a qualified medical professional if you have any questions concerning your medical condition or injury. The activities promoted as part of the Move It Canberra campaign are for people in good physical state and who can exercise without damaging health, safety, comfort or physical condition. If you are in any doubt about your condition, we strongly urge you to seek expert advice before participating. To the maximum extent permitted by law your local facility, Belgravia Leisure excludes any liability for any injury, damage or loss of any kind whatsoever sustained by anyone arising from participating in these exercises.  

Where your facility is concerned with the ability of a person to safely participate in any activities it reserves the right to refuse to allow that person to participate without first gaining a medical certificate indicating the person’s condition is suitable.  

FITNESS LEVEL 

Persons with pre-existing medical conditions, in poor health, or with any concerns should consult with an appropriate healthcare professional before participating in any fitness session. You are responsible to make your own inquiries and seek independent advice from a healthcare professional before acting. In particular, if you fall within one of the following classes of persons, then you should first consult a healthcare professional to ensure you are selecting suitable exercise activities:  

  • pregnant women and women who are breastfeeding or who are trying to conceive a child; 
  • persons with any ongoing physical condition such as: 
  • persons suffering from cancer or other long-term illness 
  • persons with liver disease, kidney disease, or renal failure 
  • persons with eating disorders 
  • persons with diabetes, blood pressure or cholesterol issues 
  • elderly persons 
  • persons recovering from or recently recovered from illness or injury 
  • persons with a low body mass index
